Wipfel Weimaraners

In February 2015 our dearest friend of many years, an introducer and breeder of our current beautiful dogs lost her fight to Cancer.  As devastating as it was for her family and devoted husband Tony, Anne Stones dying wish was for Ed and I to carry on with her passion for the breed and the many years of commitment which she had given in breeding and producing these wonderful pale and intelligent top quality dogs for work, show or play bearing the Wipfel affix; she wanted to be reassured that her years hard work had not been in vain and would now ‘in turn’ ‘live on’ in her memory as a beautiful legacy.

Wow, what an honour and a sheer privilege, if not slightly embarrassing, we felt overwhelmed, unworthy and indeed the most unlikely candidates albeit we have owned, shown and thoroughly enjoyed these beautiful dogs for the last 34 years yet had never actually bred a litter plus Anne would be a ‘hard act’ to follow and the affix infamous to live up to.

Anne knew as we spoke in the weeks and months leading up to her snatched departure of our concerns in her request, but she assured us that in her eyes having no affix ourselves we were perfect and more than capable, so with lots of encouragement and as a testament not only to Anne but to Tony and the rest of her family we humbly accepted.

So here we are the new owners of the ‘Wipfel’ affix and Wipfel Weimaraners now re-established in 2015, we hope that you enjoy visiting our website and keeping up to date with our beautiful dogs and all our Latest News
